The detour for 18 ½ Mile Road is as follows: 18 ½ Mile Road thru traffic will be detoured at 18 Mile Road and Ryan Road. Local access will be maintained to all residences along 18 ½ Mile Road. The 18 ½ Mile Road intersection on the west side of Mound Road (southbound) will be closed from June 9 to June 30. The 16 Mile Road lane closures will remain in place until mid-August. Starting June 14, westbound 16 Mile Road will be reduced to one lane through the intersection of Mound Road for intersection reconstruction. Starting June 10, eastbound 16 Mile Road will be reduced to one lane through the intersection of Mound Road for intersection reconstruction. The project started on Augwith construction completion in the Summer of 2024. The Innovate Mound project will involve the reconstruction of Mound Road from M-59 to I-696. Mound Road Reconstruction – INNOVATE MOUND The contractor is Cipparone Construction. The project is a Macomb County Department of Roads project and they can be reached at 58. The project is anticipated to be completed by October 1st. The project will include concrete base repairs and asphalt resurfacing of the roadway. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained on Metro Parkway. The project to resurface Metro Parkway from east of Van Dyke to Dodge Park Road will begin on Monday, June 13 (revised date) with traffic control setup. This MCDR is planning to resurface Metropolitan Parkway with Asphalt between Dodge Park Road and 1000' East of Van Dyke. Metropolitan Parkway Resurfacing: Dodge Park Road to 1000' East of Van Dyke The project is a Macomb County Department of Roads project and they can be reached at 58 with any questions regrading the project. The project is anticipated to be completed in early to mid-August. Resident inquiries can be made to MCDR at 58. Access to the homes on these streets can be made through adjacent and internal local roads. They will be closed until Wednesday of next week. They are Rosebush Drive and Tricia Drive. Please be aware that as part of the Metro Parkway project between Dequindre Road and east of Ryan Road, two local roads were closed at Metro Parkway today to build the intersections. The project will replace deteriorated curb and provide a new asphalt surface. Additionally, due to the Ryan Road intersection being included in the project, Ryan Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction at Metro Parkway. The MCDR will begin a project to resurface Metro Parkway from Dequindre Road to Ryan Road on Tuesday. Metropolitan Parkway Resurfacing: Dequindre Road to Ryan Roadĭelays should be expected and alternate routes are advised. If you have any questions, please contact the Office of Engineering at 58.

Left turns will be restricted during this phase to protect workers and the new concrete. Phase 4 – 15 Mile to Metro Parkway: Begins Friday, July 15th.įollowing Stage 3 construction, the inner three lanes will be closed for repairs. The outer (curb) lanes of Ryan road between 15 Mile Road and Metro Parkway will be closed to traffic for repairs. Phase 2 - 14 Mile to 15 Mile: Following Stage 1 construction, the inner three lanes will be closed for repairs. Phase 1 - 14 Mile to 15 Mile: Starting on or about May 2nd, the outer (curb) lanes of Ryan road will be closed to traffic for concrete repairs. The project will be completed in four phases, access to all businesses and residential homes on Ryan Road will remain open to traffic during construction.

Under the full closure one lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained. It is anticipated the full lane closure of the outside lanes will begin on Tuesday, July 5.

Sawcutting will be done with intermittent daily lane closures only used while that work is being performed. The phase III limits are 15 Mile Road to Metro Parkway. Phase III of the Ryan Road concrete repair project will begin today, June 24 with pavement sawcutting.

RIVER ROAD MDOT TRAFFIC LIGHT PATCH

The project will replace deteriorated concrete joints along with larger concrete patch areas to address areas of deteriorated concrete on Ryan Road. The City of Sterling Heights will be performing concrete repairs on Ryan Road from 14 Mile Road to Metro Parkway beginning April 28th and be completed in July 2022.
